Who we are
This service (“Asian Games TV”) is operated by [CONTROLLER LEGAL NAME] (the “controller”), which decides how and why your personal data is processed. You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL], [POSTAL ADDRESS]. For privacy matters specifically, contact [DPO / PRIVACY CONTACT].
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, a hashed password, your nickname and your country.
- Date of birth — used only to work out whether you are a minor and to apply the right protections.
- Consent records — what you agreed to and when, kept as an append-only history so we can prove your choices.
- Viewing behaviour — which sessions you watch, so we can show your favourite sports and improve the service.
- Network information — your IP address and browser user-agent, used at the edge to apply geographic restrictions.
Why we are allowed to (legal basis)
We process your account and viewing data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract). Optional communications, where offered, rely on your consent. Security measures and geographic compliance rely on our legitimate interests and our legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share your data with
We use a small number of processors who act only on our instructions and under contract: Mux (video encoding and delivery / CDN), Cloudflare (edge caching and country detection for geo-restriction) and [HOSTING PROVIDER] (application and database hosting). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Retention — how long we keep it
We do not keep data longer than we need:
- Account data — kept until you delete your account, then a 30-day grace window during which you can cancel the deletion.
- Viewing behaviour — a rolling window of 24 months.
- Security and access logs — 90 days.
- Consent records — for the life of your account plus a short proof window after closure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, to receive a portable copy, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these directly in Account → Settings (including a full data export and account deletion). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority — for example the Information Regulator (Namibia / South Africa), your supervisory authority in the EU/EEA, or the California Attorney General, as applicable to you.
Children
Accounts created by minors are flagged at sign-up, and [CONTROLLER LEGAL NAME] applies the additional protections required by applicable law. If you believe a child has given us data without the appropriate consent, contact us and we will address it.
International transfers
Some of our processors operate outside your country. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) as required by law.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and the version number above, and — where the change is significant — we will tell you directly.
